Montipora sp «rainbow» is a hardy SPS coral.
It’s a good coral for SPS-beginners since it is hardy enough to tolerate relatively large changes in water parameters once it’s established.
Montipora sp «rainbow» has a encrusting growth pattern. It will grow over rocks, covering them with coral and color.
This colormorph is called «rainbow» since the polyps are in different bright colors. In strong lighting the base will become blue and the polyps green, yellow, red and orange.
In less lighting it will still develop red, green and yellowish polyps but in different extent and combinations.
It likes strong water movement and medium-strong lighting but will do with less if needed.

Our systems
Each coral system is illuminated by 2x GHL Mitras lightbar 2 Model 100 and provided with a minimum flow of 30000 L/H from Tunze. Circulation is specially adapted to the specific corals kept in the system.
We perform regular ICP tests to keep minor and major elements under control.
